Christopher Oveis is a Postdoctoral Fellow and Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, where he teaches a course on Trust, Emotion, Intuition, and Morality in Decision Making and Negotiation. He conducts research examining emotion, social power, decision making, cooperation, and trust. His research has appeared in top psychology journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, and Emotion, and has been cited in media outlets such as Psychology Today and the New York Times.
Christopher Oveis received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining HKS, he was a College Fellow in Harvard University’s Department of Psychology, where he taught a course on Cooperation, Altruism, and Trust.
