MassDOT Developers Conference: Building Apps for a 21st Century Transportation System
Saturday, November 14, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. MIT Tang Center (Building E51) 70 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA MassDOT is hosting a free Gov 2.0/Developers Conference on November 14th at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. This follows the launch of a MassDOT Developers Page, which unlocked transportation data for software developers interested in building applications that benefit travelers, riders and other constituencies. In just three months, developers have built four iPhone applications with MassDOT's data, all at no cost to the state. The Conference features an overview of the effort, a demonstration of these apps, and a keynote by Robin Chase, co-founder of ZipCar.
