  • Perspective from  Michael Granoff, head of oil independence policies for Better Place and founder of Maniv Energy Capital

11:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m.  Address by and Q&A with Congressman Edward Markey (D-MA), co-author of the American Clean Energy and Security Act
 
12:00-1:00 p.m.  Panel discussion moderated by Elise Zoli, chair of the energy practice at Goodwin Procter LLP, including leaders from:
  • A123Systems, a Watertown-based advanced battery maker whose technology is being used by Better Place and Chrysler Corp. for their electric cars
  • Better Place, providing the infrastructure and scale for electric cars in California, Hawaii, Australia, Japan, Denmark, and Israel
  • Qteros, a Marlborough-based company that uses microbes to transform plant waste into fuel
  • 21 Ventures, a venture capital firm that has provided seed, growth, and bridge capital to more than 39 technology ventures across the globe
